Endemic frog research
WMIL have vast experience with native frog research, monitoring, and management having worked on Leiopelma species in the Marlborough Sounds and around New Zealand for over 30 years. Key skills include species translocation, habitat assessment and restoration, population monitoring, developing a system of individual photo identification, and establishing a database to enable efficient population monitoring and reporting.
WMIL staff are also skilled in wider reptile and amphibian research within New Zealand and internationally, including surveying and monitoring local populations and habitat assessments and restoration. Our team have the skills to assist with your lizard, iguana, frog and toad projects.
